Foppianos
Posted under: Foppiano’s is a family restaurant concentrating on Northern Italian cuisine with everything made to order. The name came from the name of an original owner’s ancestors. The primary emphasis was on Italian food, served in an atmosphere reminiscent of long-ago Manhattan.
The goal in the design for Foppiano’s Restaurant was to match the décor of the restaurant itself. Foppiano’s is framed black and white and color photos of movie stars and cherry red walls. A large size photo of Humphrey Bogart decorates the men’s room door, while a lavishing life size of Marilyn Monroe shows a way to the ladies room. The tables are covered with table clothes and decorated with fresh flowers and candles that bring a touch of elegance and we feel that the design achieves the same effect.
Along with an aesthetically pleasing UI, Foppiano’s receives weekly analytic reports to let them know how their site traffic is performing, where their visitors are coming from and what pages they are looking at the most.
Sadly Foppianos has closed as of September 2011. It will be missed!
